Blues Jam at the Cottage Lounge

Tonight The Hash Brown Band started the Jam from 6:00 -7:00 and then  local musicians joined in.  Special guest Marty  Finch of Queens, NY, long time friend of Hash Brown,  joined in for a few songs.

When Hash Brown introduced Marty as an "old friend" I new this would be a fine performance.

Thanks Marty,  for a memorable performance.

Hash Brown plays his Sunburst Tokai Strat and Marty Finch play harmonica. Kevin Schemerhorn playing the drums.

Marty Finch from New Your City started playing harp seriously as a teenager in the mid- 1970's. His influence as a harp player was drawn from local NYC masters such as  Paul Oscher, Bill Dicey, Danny Russo, Bob Shatkin to name a few. Marty formed his own band that played locally at  Dan Lynch Blues Bar 221 2nd and other venues. He played with Hash Brown,  Tommy Tucker, Left Hand Frank and Bob Margolin (Muddy Waters). Marty even backed up Big Walter Horton at Tramp's in NYC in 1979...

Marcus (center) playing lead guitar with  local Dallas,  musicians. Randy (left) singing Spoons by  Howlin' Wolf. and Marcus (center), playing rhythm guitar. Randy has a great voice.
Cindy (left) and Renée  two of the lovely waitresses you will see at the Cottage Lounge. I was just a little too late for the action shot.  WACK! Cool promotional add for Texas Blues Legend Johnny Winter. One of many memories hanging on the wall at the Cottage Lounge. Lets get back to the Blues Jam....the break is over.
These two guys usually perform together at the Jam. Sorry I missed them at the Hole in The Wall.
18 Karat of The Swell Tones on the drums ? 18 Karat's good looking younger brother on the guitar. Time for some   Surf Rider play it...

Billy an I had to leave early so we may have missed some players. We are still in the process of getting everyone's names.
